Nina assembles the cup and, with the rest of Sibuna, fool Rufus into believing himself immortal. Unfortunately, only the first season of the show (consisting of 27 episodes) was on Netflix and it only took me a few days to watch the show in its entirety. Each 20 to 30 minute episode ended with a cliffhanger and kept me pressing “next episode” every chance I got.

The acting is subpar at best, and at times I could not help but cringe at some of the lines. Fortunately, the combination of nostalgia and mystery in the plot kept me hooked and so when I finished the first season I was left wishing Netflix had more seasons out. I think it would be really cool to see this show remade in a book or a more adult-style TV show!

Nina meets an elderly woman after moving in who gives her with a locket shaped like the Eye of Horus. The woman identifies herself as Sarah Frobisher-Smythe, the daughter of Robert.
